So i just got my March score back- 1820. I'm looking to get above 2000. What is the best prep to take. The text time I will take it is October, so I will probably do some kind of review over the summer. I live in orange county and I've been looking into the Princeton Review small group tutors. Any reviews on this? Any recommendations on what I should do to bump my score up?

Independent study generally produces much better results than tutoring, so go with that unless you’re really unmotivated.

Math - Grubers
Writing - Rocket Review
CR - Direct Hits, read a lot
Practice tests - Blue Book

I just want to counter 112358’s response. I run a SAT/ACT in-home tutoring company and in my experience the best way to prepare often varies by student and commitment level. Our students increase an average of 300 points, which far outpaces the College Board’s predictions of a 30 point improvement when a students takes the SAT again. However, a student who commits to dedicated study for the SAT or ACT, complete with homework assignments, etc. can certainly to do quite well.

The SAT or ACT, or any test for that matter is not generally BEST prepared for independently. To learn new skills in life it is often better to have an instructor/mentor/tutor, etc. who can share their expertise.

There is no best fit for all, but I’d encourage you to review all the available options in your area.

Testmasters offers a 300 point guarantee .

[Test Masters Official Website - Testmasters](http://www.testmasters.com/)

It’s simply a guarantee that allows you take some type of additional review with testmasters. Why re-take the same program again? That’s like your lawyer guaranteeing to defend you again if you ever get charged with a crime after her/she lost your first case and you are already in prison.
