Sat Reasoning June 06 - Post All Discussions HERE!

i think i put pounced for the politician. I think the sentence said she was desperate for funds. did anyone else get this?

Mathwizard, for the windmill question, I think it was (d) [or at least I know for sure that it's not (a)].

seems like all you guys are taking the test for the first time....
on every SAT date there are multiple version of tests, which can differ in either the arrangements of sections or the complete contents of the test...so there will be a profusion of confusion if everyone just discusses his/her own version of test here

I need at least a 670 in math to get a 2000 overall.

Yet, I omitted 2, and I am about 98% i got all the others right- 750 ish? ( god, I wish!)

my essay will never be better than my april one ( 11), hopfully I got a 9. Writing mc was ok

Verbal was fine, hopefully I did better than the 660 i got in april

overall, I thought it was easier, and hopfully I got what I need.

Hopefully everything will workout well for all of you

Man,

What's the curve.

The critical reading, I'm mad over that and I ommited a few.

Normally, there's only one math section exp., one cr exp, and one writing exp. This time around there're two math sections exp. (one grid-in, one non) - and I think that is what causing the confusion, because I'm not taking the test for the first time. It wasn't this way last time.

Shina, one of the math sections first problem was 4(m-3)=0. What is m or something like that. One of the sections asked about 3 shirts and 1 pair of slacks, what was the equation(Guessed due to lack of time), another question was about 6 cards 6 kids distribute at least 1, another question was about finding the mean of 5 numbers but was also the median. Hope this helps

did anyone get pounced? and what about the 2% question?

Thanks, ango26! So the tests with 2 non-grid-in maths, Section #6 was the real one.

DiGamma23: I got pounced as one of the answers, too. I'm not too sure about the 2% one, though, because I can't remember what answer I put.

what about the test with 2 open ended math sections? do u know if the one with the 3, 17, 100 ratio question or the other one was the one that counted.

people....open different threads for different tests please

how many questions should i leave in math and still get 700?????

whether it was refreshing and innovative and stuff.

It couldn't be "innovative" because right before the blank space, it had the word "new", so it was a contradiction. Innovative already means new. I think it was e.) which had a weird word followed by something like "paradign".

regurgitatingcow, I'm not sure if that's allowed, because the moderator who opened this thread asked everything about the SAT Reasoning test to be kept only in this thread. However, if that is not what you're talking about, I apologize.

letsplayball89, I don't think I had that question, and I had 2 non-grid-in math sections.

it was either innovative, modeling or hackneyed, paradigm

Well lets just say i did horrible...talk about bad time mangement.

On the essay i drew a blank, I had the technological progress question and was only able to write a page and a half and didn't have enough time to finish my conclusion.
On the 1st critical reading section(section2) the fill in the blank questions really slowed my down so when i got to the passage i only had 8minutes left, so i left 19-25 blank.
the 3rd section was math, i found it quite easy.
4th section was math again this time i ran out of time once again, left 4 blank including the stupid cube one.
5th section was critical reading once again, i thought it was easy except for the last three questions about the explorer guy.
sections 6-10 i thought were easy except for the writing section where i was just guessing.

I'm pretty sure it was hackneyed, paradigm, then.

no i'm not talking about that question
i got hackneyed paradigm too
but i'm talking about like the third sentence completion question where its like about how people enjoy his poetry, and like abstruse allusions and ****

I also had hackneyed, paradigm

Breathing new life into innovative/hackneyed allegories to provide a "paradigm/model for the human ascent from shadow to light"
