I recently noticed that the world history sat 2 is given twice a year. My initial plan was to do World History (along with physics) in November and then do the SAT reasoning in both, December and January.

Should I do the SAT world history in December rather than the SAT reasoning?

Please, if possible, give at least some reason to back up your opinion.

You have some issues to consider. I assume you mean you would like to switch Nov to the SAT test and Dec to the subject tests. If that is the case I do not believe you can do the Nov switch. If you wanted to change from subject tests to the SAT you were supposed to do that at least 14 days before the test date and it is now 10 days to the Nov test date. You can no longer just show up for a test as a standby and try to take it as College Board has done away with standby test-taking. Thus if you want to change to the Nov SAT test, you better call and find out if some exception can be made for you.

If you cannot take the Nov SAT and you do not have a prior SAT to rely on, then you have another issue if you switch to subject tests for Dec. Many colleges require all testing to be done by the Dec test date and thus the Jan test will be too late. Unless all the colleges to which you are applying accept the Jan test, you cannot delay taking the SAT until that date.

I already got an 1810, but I want to attempt two more SATs to improve it. I’ve done SAT 2 in math 1 and am doing one in physics in 10 days. But I’m positive my physics score won’t be very high. I’m very good at world history so I’m positive I can easily score very high on it. But what I want to know is this: does a high SAT reasoning score weigh more or does an extra SAT 2 (with a very high score) weigh more?

SAT Reasoning Score >>> SAT II scores
Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure two 800’s in the SAT II’s look impressive, but it’s just colleges just trying to check your proficiency in the subject, really. Usually 700+ is find for SAT II’s… maybe 750+ for the more exclusive colleges. But the SAT I score definitely matters more.

IMO, your current Reasoning test is so low, it will lock you out of most schools that require Subject Tests. Thus, they will be of little help in the range of colleges that should be on your list. Thus, raising your Reasoning score is the first order of business.

(You have to understand that there are plenty of internationals that spend months preparing for the SAT; and they score well. You will be competing with them for a slot in a US college.)

btw: don’t be so sure that you can ace the WH test. Take a practice test at home to see what your score level could be. Do the same for Physics.

@ blue, I gave the practice questions the CB gives on their site. I scored 21/22. I knew pretty much every topic there save for art. I never cared much about and have almost no interest in it. As for physics, lol… well I scored a 540. But 540 was with me forgeting almost every formula. Now I went over many formulas over and over…
