Sat retake for writing section?

I took the SAT for the first time in May and got a 2280 (I'm a junior)
Math: 800 CR:770 and W: 710 essay:10
I'm not sure if I should retake it for Writing. I know I could get at least a 750 on writing; I didn't really study at all, I was so focused on math and reading. However, I doubt I could get another 800 in math or even 770 in reading. Will a 710 in writing hurt me when applying to the top colleges? Is a 1570/1600 good enough on a first time to outweigh my writing score?

YES your writing score is fine. 2280 first try is a great score, and there will really be no difference between that and a 2300+. Your math and reading are good enough to cancel out that writing score.

you’re fine. Honestly, no college cares about the writing section. Many even ignore it and just add your CR and Math. Technically, to them you have a 1570/1600. So I wouldn’t worry about it. 710 is high in and of itself anyway.

Don’t retake it unless you feel that you absolutely have to.

Your score is great. Writing is over 700 while CR+M is 1570.

No one cares about writing as long as it is 7xx. You have a 1570/1600. Unless you are confident that you can perfect score CR, you can call it, as far as the SAT is concerned, and start focusing on the rest of your profile.
