SAT retake?

so i took my first SAT in November of last year and got a 2140. i retook it in march of this year and got a 2240 (680 CR, 770 Math, 790 Writing)
my question is should i retake it again? my parents were suggesting that i should, saying that it's basically a freebie because u can pick the score the colleges can see and i have nothing to lose since i already have a good score. since i cant do anything to my gpa right now (weighted 4.15) , the only other number i can improve is my SAT score.
but my friends were saying that after a point, scores are kinda in a range so a 2240 could seem the same as a 2270.
if i do take it again, i will have to start preparing soon because it will take me some time to get back to where i was. i dont know if taking it again is worth all the time and effort. should i be focusing on something else or should i just take the sat again?

It depends on where you applying, like you will get a big increase in admissions chances at Princeton if you get a 2300+
