SAT scholarship?

My friend told me that I can get scholarship from doing SAT? If so, does it matter what score I get?

There is the National Merit Scholarship sponsored by the College Board (for which amount varies among the colleges and is often not much) for which you first need a high PSAT to qualify and then a high SAT. Otherwise, there are many colleges (not your highest ranks) that base merit awards on test scores (SAT or ACT), although usually it is based on a combination of grades and test score, and the merit awards can vary from a small amount up to annual tuition and qualifying at any given range depends on some specified minimum test score.
