Is college going to look at your SAT combined score or one setting score in order to pick the highest #?

depends on the college

anyone know what UCF, FSU, or UF does?

i know UF does best subject for each....

We were told by FSU and UF that they accept the highest score received in each category. So your final SAT or ACT score at either school (UF or FSU) would actually be your best scores from a series of SAT or ACT exams.

In other words, if you score a 650, 630, 590 and a 660 on a series of SAT exams, they take the 660 and ignore all lower scores - even if you take the exam 12 times (as one UF Admissions Officer told us).

Ditto the other portions of the SAT and the ACT sub-tests.

I suspect this practice is common in many universities. It pumps up applicant scores, in effect, and makes the applicant's scores appear higher.

WUSTL takes your best sitting.

Anything with ACT always takes your best sitting because you only send one of them.
