SAT Score Issue

My SAT scores were, according to the CB, sent out on October 18. It’s been over a week now and on my admission status page it still states that they have not received my scores. I am very concerned about this as the final day for applications is in four days. Could it be that the college has just not updated the admissions status page? Or have they really not received my scores? Should I be concerned?

Call the admissions dept and ask asap!!!

Most likely answer is that the college has not completed processing your score to show receipt in your online account. Many colleges do that quickly, within a day or two of receipt, and then many others take seemingly forever to do so, up to two weeks or even more in many cases.

Also, most colleges with Nov 1 EA and ED deadlines accept test scores that arrive after the application deadline date, and thus, if yours is one of those, you likely have no reason to be concerned.

@drusba Thank you, this makes me feel much better.

PLEASE I would still call the college admissions office and check!! I called UMD bc they have a Nov 1 deadline and my sons portal said the SATs were missing. UMD said to verify that college board had sent them (they hadn’t) and then call them back if CB had and they would track them down- but to make sure the problem was resolved before that Nov 1st deadline!! The admissions person on the phone said they would rather me call than not call because
scores get electronically delivered and software matches it to the applicants file automatically. The only time delay would be how often the college downloads the scores from college board- some download once a week, some once a day, and most (with large volume being sent) multiple times a day. So IMO if your scores were sent from CB on the 18th, THEY are not in your file if they aren’t there by now - for some reason the software didn’t match it up with you.

Unless alerted to a problem BY YOU, they probably don’t know there is a problem as this is all done by software and not a person … PLEASE better safe than sorry, call to check!

@runswimyoga I’m going to today. You are right; definitely better safe than sorry.
