SAT Score Reports Junior Year?

Hey guys--

I just took the SAT Reasoning and it did not feel that great, but I honestly have no idea how I did. I am a junior in high school, and I am wondering, should I send my score reports to my schools without knowing the actual score beforehand? Because that is what the collegeboard webpage is really pushing, since it is apparently free for the next couple of days. I am a bit nervous since the schools I want to apply to are extremely competitive.

Is there really anything helpful about sending the ivies my score reports like 7 months prior to when I will apply? And if so, is it worth the risk? How much do regular score reports cost in November?

Thank you to anyone who can give me a little advice!

Don’t do it. Just don’t. It’s not worth the risk- if you do badly, the ivies (or other colleges) will see. Even if you do well, it’s just better to send them in with your app next year (even if you have to pay that extra $10 fee).

it’s probably a bad idea to send the scores to your reaches without knowing what you got…but if you have safety schools that you know you’re applying to, then use the free score reports on them so hopefully you won’t have to pay for them later, and if you did badly then they won’t care, as long as you get your scores up a bit. but if all the schools you’re looking at right now are uber-competitive, then it’s probably best to wait.
