Okay...this is very confusing. If you don't send your SAT score reports before the dealine you are screwed? I really don't get it- another way the College Board makes money when SAT scores are reported to the school and put on the transcript. Why is it that colleges require them? Makes no sense to me. I guess you can put different scores on the application but on the school transcript...that CAN'T happen.

So lets say I have two colleges that didn't receive my score reports (deadlines were 1/1, 1/3) yet they got my application on time I will be hurt by that?

It probably says on the app that everything has to be in by the deadline, but the only things that have to be in are the application and application fee. It is normal for transcripts, recs, and score reports to filter in later.

The college may have a website that you can logon and check the status of your app. If they do, they will mail you a userid and password.

Don't pay CB to "rush" your scores. Rushed scores go by the postal service, and they go into the college's mailroom. Scores are normally sent to the colleges by regularly scheduled electronic transfers. Rushed scores actually take longer.

Not all high schools put the SAT scores on the transcript. The format of the transcripts varies alot from hs to hs district.

Thanks guys for the responses! I don't know what I would do without these fourms...just for the basic questions.

I know these are stressful times for everyone (January 15 is most of my deadlines) but I want everyone to think about how far we have made it and I want to wish the best of luck to everyone!
