I just got a notice in the mail from NMSC reminding me that I haven't sent my SAT scores. In it, they urged me to send a rushed report. Should I send rushed or just regular? The website says that it takes 1-2 weeks to send a score report and the scholarship deadline is December 31st. Should I send the rushed report or just regular?

I have this same question!

If any schools you are considering offer scholarships to National Merit finalists, or you have the potential for a corporate scholarship, or would like to be considered for a one-time award from National Merit…follow their instructions and do the rush report! You cannot become a finalist, and potential NM scholar, if your file is incomplete. It was kind of them to send you the reminder notice. Since there are less than 2 weeks before the deadline, plus a couple of major holidays in the mix…if you want to have a chance to be a Finalist, rush those scores!

RUSH IT! They need scores by Jan 31. We were in the same boat since forgot to select them. Encourage you to do it today since both College Board and NM Corp are taking a bunch of days off. We did it yesterday AM and they seemed confident that it would be received by Jan 27. Don’t risk missing out on some great opportunities. I know they are sympathetic on many deadlines, but I don’t think this one of them. Good luck.

Thank you! But isn’t the deadline December 31st actually?

Yes, meant dec, not jan
