SAT score vs. PSAT scores

How can I compare scores? Obviously the PSAT score is an SAT score without the zeros, but as far as how hard they are in relationship to another, I'm confused. So if I get an 1300 on a practice SAT I, what, approximately, will I get on the PSAT? Thanks.

better on SAT (within 40 pts though)

so anyone else with general comments on the comparitive difficulty? I have taken a practice SAT I, but not a PSAT

i did better on the PSAT - way better. Math was my best PSAT, and I had a horrible Math SAT score. Take that whichever way you will. :p

ebony, i assume youre a high scorer. a couple questions missed on the math can change your score dramatically.

1740 SAT, 1810 PSAT

i got 10 points higher on math, 40 points higher on reading, and 120 points lower on writing... im hoping that when i get my results monday, i will have broken the 1900 barrier

Utter crap on the PSAT, muuuuuuch better SAT

231, 2350. I think 74-80-77 and 750-800-800 for V-M-W.

so the scores are similar if u take them at roughly the same time?

I took the PSAT last october and got what would have been roughly a 1090 on the old SAT. I took the real thing in March and got a 1310.
I don't think the PSAT is a good indicator of what you will make on the SAT.

217 PSAT (68v, 71m, 78wr)
2370 SAT (800v, 770m, 800wr)

I took the PSAT in October and got a 1240.
I took the SAT in November and got a 1240.
:) Interesting, isn't it?

233 PSAT (77/80/76) and 2340 SAT (740/800/800).

1910 PSAT
2260 SAT
Looking at books certainly makes a difference!

psat soph yr: 60cr, 62m, 66w
psat junior yr: 64cr, 69m, 70w
sat + writing: 730v, 720m, 800w

you should go up a lot

i did about 240 points better on SAT.

my sat score was 10 pts higher than my psat.....lol

PSAT: 194
SAT: 2200
260 point difference
