SAT score won't arrive by Early Action deadline - should I not apply until Regular Descision?

Hey all.

I’ve always had the intention of apply Early Action to MIT, but I’m going to have to take a subject test on October 1st, a little due to bad planning and a little because of bad luck. I’m not sure my score will arrive by the time the application is due.

Can I explain this or is it better to just skip EA and apply Regular Decision?

Thanks.

@7YearsPerHour you should be fine – don’t worry.

@MITer94 Sounds good, thanks.

The October test date is usually the last acceptable date for EA testing so you should be totally fine but use your free score send so it goes automatically rather than waiting and then sending a score request.

@acdchai, that is not correct. Most schools including MIT even accept the November test date for EA. The admissions office does not need the scores by the November 1st deadline. The scores however, must be sent directly to MIT so admissions gets them as soon as possible.

@MITChris Thank you.
