SAT Score

Just got the results, I got: 2030:
710 Math
620 Critical Reading
700 Writing

I'm in state, so would these scores be acceptable for UMich, or would I need to retake it because of the crappy CR section? Like how much would my chances improve with a higher reading score of let's say 670-700+? Is it worth retaking. Thanks for your time.

It's fine. I hope you submitted your application already.

Instead of worrying about numbers so much you people have to get the application in early and properly. Timing carries more of an important bearing on your admission than any variation of +/- 100 pts on your SAT will.

Lol no I haven't applied, because I'm a junior :p . Thanks for your input though.

well if your a junior i'd retake it just to see.

or the act

I had the same stats as yours but i got waitlisted.

That's because i'm OOS though.

I hate instaters. No offence.

Nick, I got deferred with a 3.6 UM GPA, 32 ACT, legacy, in-state, good EC (im tempted to say great...check my old posts). Even some of us in-staters get unlucky too :/

See, that's what pi**es me off about Michigan. You never know who they're going to accept or reject. I know international kids who got 1900s on SAT's and decent IB grades that got in. Over qualified out of students on the other hand got rejected.

I feel for you kevin. Hope you get in though.

i wouldn't think in-state/oos mattered. is in-state better or something?

yea u of m is a public state-funded university

idk what the actual leg up is tho

Yeah dude I read you posts! Ridiculous. I thought you would've got in for sure....
