Is it possible to get a 1523 on the SAT or don't the scores always end in a zero???? My friend said her daughter who is a sophomore made a 1523 and I don't want to tell her she made have read her report wrong because she might take it the wrong way.

woo hoo!
First time on the SAT (i'm a sophomore), and I got a 1910, with a 680 CR, 640 math, and 590 writing (:(, on the PSAT, writing was my highest).

I'm really happy just because it's good enough to get me into my transfer high school.

Haha, 1523. No it's NOT possible.

R 730
M 600
W 700
2030 total

I'm pretty happy with my scores. :) I might retake in October, but I doubt it.

I went in there having gotten from earlier in the year:
780 Math
570 Reading
570 Writing

On the May 5th, I had not really tried on Math, and REALLY focused on reading. I got this on my may 5th test

Last night, I woke up 4 times during the night. One time I woke up drenched in sweat. I had a DREAM that I got a 0 on reading... obviously not even thinking that it's impossible.

disappointing. 240 point spread between my Math and Reading.

I'm pretty happy, esp. with Math! I am horrible, truly horrible at that section. I've come up 50 points since the PSAT!

Well I wonder why she said that.......OMG do you think her daughter did really bad and she just threw that number out there thinking it was legitimate? Bless her heart.....I feel bad for her and her daughter and I'm glad I didn't say anthing about that score might be wrong......it would just make things worse.

how did you get your essay grades?

CR- 720
Math- 630
Writing- 700

Overall, up 90 points. Up 50 on CR, 40 on Math, and 10 on writing. So I'm pretty satisfied.

I can't believe some of you posters are whining about scores like 750.

I am THRILLED with my son's 1800. Get a life. This is just one small aspect of the whole process. Life will be fine even if you don't get into your top choice college. And I am baffled by the fact that some people take the SAT's 4 or 5 times. That is ridiculous in my opinion. I would think college admissions people might be a little suspect if they saw 4 or 5 SAt scores sent to them.

If you're talking about the college admissions process, SAT's are not a small aspect of the whole process. If you're referring to life... then sure, there's not SUCH a large difference between a top 10 university and a top 25 one... but going to your safeties which may be anywhere from the top 50 to 100 doesn't exactly get you very far in business... which is what I'm aiming to do in the future. iBanking especially. There's nothing wrong with working hard to achieve a 750+ score... just not to the point of being obsessive. That's all. I agree that 4-5 times is too much. 3 is max I hear.

Oh, yes and you know so much. People from ivies and other great schools do go on to great success and do great things, but guess what? People who go to their so called safety schools do too. The most selective college does not necessarily translate to the best education. It depends on the student, their personality and their learning style.

I don't put much stock in undergraduate college choices effecting how far you will go in business.(except wall street) My uncle went to Wyoming and he makes 200+k a year in the business world. Although this is only one example..... I'am pretty sure your graduate school is more important then a little BA stint.

"I can't believe some of you posters are whining ....."

I'm assuming everyone posting scores are still HS students....(smile)

I just wanted to break 2000, because 2000 looks better than 1990
