SAT scores..which should I retake?

Ok so a lot of the colleges I am applying to allow January scores. I am looking at top schools, my first choices being Yale, Stanford, and Harvard. I go to a very tough but relatively unknown public school in the Northeast, and my GPA is 3.8/4.5. Though this is somewhat "low" I am ranked 4th in a class of 400+ -- only our valedictorian has a 3.9+ GPA.

Essentially, I want to use my scores to show that I am intelligent as my grades might not reflect that. I have a 35 ACT with a 2240 SAT, 800 M2, 790 USH, 740 Physics. Should I retake Physics in January or get my SAT to 23+? I don't want this opportunity to go to waste!

Don’t take either, it will only make you look like a test you-know-what. You’ve passed the threshold and reached the point of diminishing returns, if you don’t get into those schools it’s not going to be due to a few points in your test scores, but rather some other part(s) of your application.

Why not use the time for more relevant pursuits?

By then, apps will be over and done with and my classes won’t be taking up any more time. I figure I might as well put my time to good use…
