I'm applying ED to W&M but I have sent one or two SAT score reports to other schools. If hypothetically I was accepted to W&M before I sent anything else to these schools, would I have to formally withdrawl the scores or would it not matter? Basically, does sending a score report count as starting an app or do you actually have to send more in? I know this sounds dumb but I just want to make sure because I am a nervous senior who is overanalyzing things.

Hey hillbyrd305,
I think you are fine! SAT scores definitley aren’t apps, and most colleges just view them as demonstrated interest. I accidentally sent my art supplement to every school on my commonapp list…whoops…
So no, unless a college receives your application money, I’m pretty sure it doesn’t count as an application!
ONE WEEK( about) UNTIL THEY MAIL ED DECISIONS! I am dying of nerves here!

Sorry for the delayed response. W&M was closed for the Thanksgiving holiday!

If admitted to W&M ED, you simply have to withdraw any pending applications at other schools. If you’ve only submitted SAT scores, you don’t need to contact those schools, only those schools to which you’ve submitted an actual application.

Thanks for being so on top of this and considering all ethical ramifications of your ED application!

Thank you for your response. The delay is okay. After a month of looking at applications, you guys deserved the break! :)
