I took the SAT in december, and i got the following scores:

Writing : - Essay -9. - 720
Math : - 710
CR : - 620

In SAT II, i had the following scores:

Physics - 760
Chemistry - 740
Math II - 690

I am an international student. Will these scores negatively affect my application??

anyone here who can reply ??

Not really; your CR score also is impacted because of your standing. However, you did not earn a score of 300, which would be a major problem.

If you read the zillion posts posted on these boards, you will see that these scores may not be enough - SAT I atleast. Pl. try to retake them. Are you applying this year for 2007 admissions?

Do you have some unique talents?

Dont give up. Never hurts to try.

thanks for your replies,

i tried to register for the sat today, but the two test centres available in my country have already been filled up, so i couldnt register. Does anyone in the US face problems as such?

ps. i am from nepal.

can you try to sign up as a stand-by?

@davincicodes: Have you applied to stanford already or what?

yes, actually i had initially applied for early action, but in november also i faced the same problem and i couldn't take the sat in november, so i had to switch to regular...i have already submitted all the forms for regular action..but just wanted to make myself look better on my CR score by retaking the SAT..

and what's a stand by...i have no ideas on that..

u need to have other things... SAT scores are not the main factor

December was the last test date that was accepted. But in any case try to take the Jan test and then rush the scores. If you're lucky they might review them.

lakshya M, i am thinking the same, but the problem is that the two available test centres in my country have run out of seats...

Oh, then you could try for standby testing. That is in the event of someone cancelling their test you will be given an oppurtunity to write the test. Basically you have to go to the test center and ask them about their procedure for standby testing. It varies from center to center and so I really can't say how it happens in your country.

thanks, i will try doing that.

yay...yay...yay..i got registered...the only problem is that i have no test center listed now..thanks ppl

Good luck. It probably won't be a big deal. Chill.
