SAT studying

is it better to take classes or just to study by yourself. my parents think i should take classes but im kind of hesitant because i can probably raise my scores just as much, if not more, by studying by myself. what do you guys think? And what is the top 2 SAT I books that i should get?

I guess dat solely depends on your capability... Obviously taking classes will help .. but self study is important too.... if u r confident about the syllabus, den dont waste ur money on classes and if ur not confident..go take dem.. and study hard..
books dat i recommend..
1. Barrons
2. Kaplan
3. the official collegeboard blue book

thanks. any more advice guys?

I would definitely start studying on your own to see if you need a class. You'd want to do at least some prep before starting one anyway, to get the most out of it. Some people need a class, others don't. You don't know 'til you try. :-) Now of course if you don't need one, you can ask your parents to contribute that money toward getting you a car!

The two best SAT books are the College Board book and Cracking the SAT from Princeton Review.
