Sat subject test and new Sat worries of an African

I’m an African from Nigeria, I will be taking my sat subject test in Nov 4th and New sat test on Dec 2nd 2017. my main questions are

  1. is the Sat subject really difficult? back in high school I do skip maths classes but now I will have to take Level 1 maths sat subject test but I don’t know anything when it come to maths.

  2. since I’m an African who schooled in Africa, will my Sat subject test be as difficult and the same as USA Sat subject test takers own or will it be easier, after all USA and Africa (Nigeria) do not teach the same or have the same teaching skills.

  3. during the exam will help be rendered to the sat takers or will they be left all alone?.

  4. is Barron’s literature and level 1 maths review book harder than the main exam

hoping to get a reply back.

The subject test you take will be the same or equivalent to the test that U.S. kids take. The College Board does not make easier tests for test takers in other countries.
You won’t get help during the exam, but there should be a proctor in the room to monitor time

Hey. I’m Nigerian too, and I live there. I took the SAT for the first time this Oct, scored a 1510 and 16/24 essay, and I could only prep online because I couldn’t afford textbooks. All you need to do is practise, practise and practise. Use Khanacademy.

Everyone I know has gotten a perfect 800 on maths (one level 1 and the other level 2), because our curriculum is arguably harder. I suggest you prep with maths textbooks as well as Barron’s, since the methods they use to solve may be quite different, and you are probably more used to the methods in Nigerian textbooks. Barron’s is equivalent to the SAT subject test. If you’re looking for something harder I suggest Princeton Review.

Good luck!
