SAT Subject Test Confusion

I have a question regarding SAT Subject tests. On the website it says that I don’t have to submit them if I take the ACT. However I have a 2120 on the SAT, and only a Composite of 27 on the ACT, does this mean I have to take SAT subject tests. (I took one and got 770 in math 2).

Yes, if you plan to submit your SATs then you need subject tests. If you submit the ACT you don’t.

Admissions now says that subject tests are “strongly recommended” not required if you submit the SAT. http://admissions.duke.edu/application/instructions#testing

Ask yourself, “Will the Subject Tests improve my file?” A 770 in Math 2 seems helpful to me. I would recommend taking 1 or 2 more Subject Tests and submitting them all.
