How much do the SAT Subject Tests affect your chances in the college of engineering. I have great stats and extracurriculars in other areas. I'm taking the Subject Tests on May 5 and do bit feel confident at all. Will this greatly affect my chances? I'm taking Chem, bio, and math II.

They really don’t matter that much as long as you get a 700+ of you get a mid 600 or less then it can hurt you.

All in all, SAT Is matter significantly more, though you don’t want to do badly (600-700) on any of your subject tests either.

Subject tests barely matter, I know people with scores in the low 700s who got into schools that I didn’t.

Take them, but they’re not going to make or break your application I don’t think. It’s just nice to see consistency across all parts of your application. Shoot for 700s, mid/high 700s if you can.

I’ll slightly disagree with the above posters and say that for Engineering, scoring well in the math/science SAT II tests is important. 650+ is fine for any other subject test, but I think that if you aren’t at least in the 700-range for math/science, Engineering will count that against your application.
