SAT Subject Tests tips

I will be taking the World History subject test and June and would like some tips as I do not know anyone who has taken it. My biggest concern with this test is the 1/4 point penalty for every wrong answer. I have never taken a test with the penalty before so what are some tips on how to approach the questions?

Also, how does the scoring work on this test? For example, can you miss some and still get a perfect score or how much is each question worth?

Lastly, any tips about SAT subject test (not just World History) in general would be greatly appreciated as I plan on other subject tests next year as well.

Thanks!

@200287791 Most likely, a question score of 81 would be an 800 (based upon practice test score charts).

I used the College Board’s books and online problems along with Barron’s. If possible, you should try getting them at your local library in order to save yourself some money (this is what I did). I took Math level 2 and U.S. History on June 3, and I am very confident with my performance.

NOTE: The College Board reuses the same practice questions and tests throughout their books and online problems.
