I know that NYU says they require them but how important are they really? Also, if I were to take them in October would I still have time to send them over to NYU for Early Decision?

NYU does NOT require subject tests.

[Standardized Tests](<a href=“Standardized Tests”>Standardized Tests)

They require the SAT I
OR
The ACT
OR
3 SAT II subject tests
OR
3 AP Test (taken prior to senior year)

Make sure to sign up for ACT with WRITING, if this is the option you take to fulfill the standardized test requirement.

If you do well on the subject tests (700+), send in the scores because they can only help.

Hi sjanuse

My D got accepted thru ED-2 to Stern-BPE Program and I believe SAT Subject scores were one of the strengths, maybe 5% in terms of weightage, of her application. She submitted only 3 Subject SAT’s. Math-2 780, Bio-m 730 and Eng Lit- 750. And October scores will be available in time for ED-1 AND ED-2 applications.

All the Best and take care

If you are bad at SAT Subject tests or are just too lazy to take them, you are in luck because you don’t need to.

This is such a joke. All you need is one of the requirements that have already been listed above.
