Does University of California Irvine's engineering department require a certain number of SAT Subject Tests? I know that in general admissions they are no longer required but the engineering admissions says that 3 are required but that information is from 2006. I was wondering if anyone knew how many, if any are required.
Please respond
Thank you

I’m thinking of taking the Chemistry Subject Test but I only took regular Chemistry and that was over a year ago, I did get straight A’s and 100% or more on final exams and midterms though my teacher rounded and my class wasn’t filled with the hardest trying of people. With the Barron’s SAT Subject Test book for review could I still get a good score?

I’ve heard that having taken the SAT absolves you of one of the three required tests since the Writing section counts as one. I wouldn’t risk that, though. Even if you don’t need to take three, it’s probably a good idea to just so that you can have a backup if you flub on one of them; I think you can only sound your best ones if you want.
