SAT Subject Tests

Hello all, I'm a current junior in high school and I'm wondering which SAT Subject Tests I should take.
At the end of this year, I will be able to take U.S. History, Literature, Physics, Math I/II (if I took it, probably II) and Latin.
I'm interested in going into engineering so Math and Physics seem like obvious picks but I also want to be well-rounded. I've heard colleges love seeing foreign language Subject Tests - so Latin seems like a good idea. However, I strongly dislike Latin and would need to study a lot to crank out a good score - which I'm confident I could do if I prepared well enough.

I'm wondering which ones (and how many - I've heard only 2 are really needed, maybe 3 looks better?) would look most impressive to colleges and if anyone could give me suggestions as to which ones to take. Thanks!

Two is good enough for all US schools according to this link, [Era Ends for 3 Subject Test Requirements | Inside Higher Ed](http://www.insidehighered.com/news/2010/08/09/subject). Take whatever subjects you are good at. Balance is good but high scores are better I suppose.

It also depends on what you’re thinking about majoring in–you don’t need to decide on a specific major yet, since you’re a junior, but it would be good to think about the general area you want to focus in (e.g. math and sciences, english, history, etc.)

Thanks for the replies. I’d like a few more opinions so…Bump!

Colleges that require subject tests require only two and most use the highest two scores if you submit more than two so taking a bunch more doesn’t really help despite what many otherwise believe. For engineering most require a math and science (and a couple require the math 2). Colleges that recommend but do not require subject tests recommend two except for Georgetown and Johns Hopkins which recommend three. Except for those two colleges you don 't need more than two and the only reason to also take a language as a third test would be for placement after admission as some use language tests for course placement when you enter college.
