Hi there, I'm a Singaporean student. I was wondering whether the Subject tests are absolutely necessary? I might not have the time to complete the 2 subject tests. Might be taking Chemistry and Math II on the same day, if I did. Would have to register late for the 6 December test.

From the website, they stated that "Please note that if an applicant is unable to sit for both the SAT or ACT with Writing AND SAT Subject Tests, Williams recommends prioritizing the SAT or ACT with Writing." I have taken the SAT/ACT with Writing.

Are there any souls who have gotten admitted to Williams without the 2 subject tests (and are International students)?

Your application will be weaker without the required 2 Subject tests, I would take them in December and expedite to Williams, they likely won’t look at your complete application until late Feb/early March,so I suspect you may be OK, but you should submit them, almost every other applicant will.

Thank you Englishman. That cleared up my doubts! I’ll consider taking them in December. :)

Hey olafidius. I’m a current freshman who was accepted in early March, and I did not submit any SAT II scores. I actually took my SAT II’s in late January, but I believe they got to the college after I was accepted. To reiterate Englishman’s post, I do support that you take your SAT II’s in December and have the scores shipped to Williams. They’ll probably get there in time. I’m not an international student, but just make sure your application is strong in other areas as well! Sorry about this late reply. Hope things work out for you!
