Hi! I am currently trying to decide which science SAT subject test I should take, and I have quite a dilemma. I took bio freshman year. Sophomore year I took honors Chem 1, and this year I am in AP Physics 1. I would normally just take the physics SAT, but that test goes over all of the information included in AP Physics 1 AND AP physics 2. So if I were to take that, I would only know half of the information on the test. But, it’s been a couple years since bio or chem, so I’m not sure what I should do.
Just take the one you are most comfortable with.
Also, I scored a 740 on physics with only an AP Physics C - mechanics background, and very basic E/M knowledge (could’ve gotten 800 if I prepared a bit). If you decide to take the physics test, simply prepare a bit more than I did and you should be fine.
If you decide to take bio or chem, some review might suffice, but don’t let the fact that you took bio or chem a couple years ago hinder you.
@MITer94 oh, well that’s good to know that you can still do well on physics with mostly only a mechanics background.
Thanks so much!
