Bio 620, Disappointed with my score. Felt like I scored in the low 700s. Shall retake, next time hoping for the high 700s

bumpbumpbump

I got a report long time ago, but anyways,
800 in Math IIC(Yehh!)
but
660 with Japanese with Listening.

My fault. I studied with the book from 1995, and I never knew before the test day that the test level was changed.

And I was planning to take Chinese with Listening next year.
So… I think have no next chance… which was the reason I was so depressed at first.

I’m thinking of taking JLPT N2(Japanese Language Proficiency Test) instead.

Do you think this is a good choice?

How do you guys’s scores compare with the practice estimates? I’m assuming the real one is generally slightly higher due to more accurate curving, but I never know for sure (I am taking mine this Saturday). Also, for those of you who have posted scores, does it tell you how much you miss? I don’t know much about how these tests work beyond what they look like and what the practice curves are.

Onsemiru, did you take the practice Collegeboard test for Japanese? If you haven’t, I recommend you do. And how many years of experience have you had with Japanese/what type? School course? Outside lessons? And do you have people to practice with? Lastly, do you have time to wait another year to take the test?

I think that SAT Japanese > JLPT because more colleges wouldn’t be familiar with JLPT. Of course you’re welcome to take both just in case.

Hey there everyone , I´m a student from México who bought Barron´s MathII and princeton´s review for Physics and got a 770 on the Math 2 Subject test and a 720 on the physics. I had really basic courses on the subjects tested , actually I consider that i had seen about 40% of what the MathII ST covers and about 20 or 25% of what the physics covers. I got both books about 9 days before the test and studied them and read every single page. I´m not lying I actually studied almost every day for about 6-7 hours before the December test. And for those who believe that in order to score high on the Math Test you need a Graphic Calc. let me tell you that with the most simple and common Casio which I actually found one day , I got close to the 800. If anyone needs help or some tips for the tests , seriously don´t hesitate to contact me , I´ll be more than glad to help everyone. Now I guess I´ll go and have some Tequila , Good luck to everyone.

I got what I wanted, happily. Yes, I did not sleep that night (and day) until the scores were safely confirmed in my hands. But to what avail? Only a moment’s breath of relief, and forever more, the college-junior complex returned and my hopes of my dream college were crushed and stampeded once again. Sighs begone, I realized that it was just an endless cycle. OhpleaseletJunioryearbeover.

I’m sorry, but…why is this worth reviving an incredibly old thread?

Don’t be sorry; these are all her replies.
