I just took the SAT for my 2nd and final time today, January 26th, 2013...

I know every college I am applying to has deadlines for the final times they allow you to submit scores...does anyone know how lenient most schools are with this policy? Being this is only my 2nd time do you think sending an email to admissions asking for an exception would be beneficial? I feel as though this test went much better than my previous scores so it would really improve my chances to get into some of my reach/high match schools...

Anyone with experience in this matter PLEASE HELP!

Thank you so much!

A nervous postgrad awaits your response.

? If they say they will take the Jan. testing date, then they will.

Look at your schools testing policy to figure this out…

Where do I find this information SpaceDuck? I have tried but it all seems very gray…just to give you an idea, I have applied to: Harvard, Dartmouth, Williams, USD, USC, Colby, Middlebury, St. Lawrence, Denver University & University of Utah.

Both Harvard and Dartmouth make it clear on their admissions web site that they accept the Jan. test results. Why is it gray? And even if it is and you have strong reasons to think that your January results are much better than your current best results, then send them to all the colleges on your list. You took the January test to have this option. Follow through. There is no point in asking for an exception. What would they say? They’ll either consider the scores or they won’t.
