SAT test 26.01.13

@sanghyunp Lol don’t worry. I’m probably the one talking the most on here XD does anyone else have input on the condemnation vs. guarded skepticism debate on the passage about the guy who wrote caustically about actors who practice developing feelings?

@thelemonisinplay

that question was hard i put something else though although i had no clue what the answer was I think i put like B or A (which is wrong i believe)

did you guys get eagerness for seahorse passage?
I was debating between eagerness and cheerfulness.
Also did any of you guys get deprecate or depreciate? It was about accomplishment.
Also what are the no error questions you guys got ?
The last question for identifying error is me instead of I right ?
will continue to do so is also wrong I believe.

Like a rock - no error
Throughout whatever - no error
and what else was no error ?

I’m 100% sure it’s guarded skepticism.

condemnation is too harsh.

Does anyone remember anything about the identifying sentence errors question that went like “designated for…,protected by…, and adequately prepared”. Was that a no error?

I put no error as well for that

what was the answer to the earth’s tectonic plates one? Improving sentences.

I put condemnation. I do admit that it might be too harsh, but he expressed total skepticism with outburst. I am not sure about the “guarded” part?
Did you guys get eagerness ?
Also affronted was one of the answers I believe.
Can we please compile answers for building environment and sea horse passage ?
Also anyone remembers the questions for using emotion when act in thither or whatever?

@anysky

Yes I got depreciate or something like that
and also ur right the FE (finding error) it was me instead of I

I don’t exactly recall which was no error but I only got 2 no error for (FE)

also I believe it was cheerfulness and not eagerness

anysky: I see where your thinking is coming from, yet passage 2 stated in the beginning that he “believed there was nothing wrong with actors getting into with their emotions etc etc, just a waste of time”

or something along those lines. but that means it’s not total condemnation imo.

Plus my SAT study book said that correct answers are almost never answers that have something too extreme, examples are words like “never, always, extremely” etc

@thelemonisinplay i thought i had two 20 question math sections but nobody else on here seems to have that, only two grid ins so I’m assuming that one of my reading ones is experimental as I had a normal amount of writing

@thesats1234567

if you had two grid ins one of them is experimental

@jugujeegee See, that’s the problem. I have always been taught to avoid extreme answers or absolutes, yet in the context of the passage, it seemed plausible that he would condemn it. The passage also suggests that his skepticism wasn’t “guarded” but I still put that answer choice. I guess we’ll see in a few weeks…

@anysky What’s that no error one that goes “like a rock?” I can’t remember it.

EDIT: I also put eagerness for that seahorse one. She said she experienced a “twinge of expectation” so it seemed to me that she was eager to find a coral. It was either that or determination, but I went with eagerness.

the math question with the two points (9,6) and (4,4) did they want the x intersection or y intersection, if it was y the answer is 2.4 if it is x it is -6. i picked 2.4 but i may have misread… what do u all remember

I’m really nervous.

okay if I did this:

probably good in math (790-800)
probably good in writing (790-800)
BOMBED reading

what would my overall score be? I seriously just bombed reading completely.

its condemnation for sure.

“caustically” – severely critically
“outspoken” – frank in stating one’s opinions, esp. if they are critical or controversial
“condemnation” – expressing an unfavorable or adverse judgment on

it was in his writing, but that doesnt matter. if it was in his writing he was thinking about it caustically, and if he thought about it caustically then he surely would respond to those methods caustically —> “outspoken condemnation”!

@sanghyunp2004 I did not have two grid ins, nor did I have an extra writing so I am trying to figure out what my experimental could be. All my reading passages seem to be the same as everybody else’s so I think my original assumption that I had 2, 20 math sections is correct although nobody else seems to have that

@jugujeegee

say you got 780 for writing and math (just taking precautious)
and bombing has a diffrent meaning for alot of people so ill just say you got 10 wrong
so about a 650 if you “bombed” it

so about 2200

I’m pretty sure it asked for x-intercept. That was a multiple choice question, if I remember correctly.
