My SAT Test Center is full for the month of November. I wish to take a subject test at in November. Do any of you have experience with drop-in exams? like waiting until everyone's seated and if there's an extra spot I can take the test as a drop-in and be billed later? I'm wondering if I can do this. Thanks!

Are there any other test centers you can go to. At least in my area, there are 5 or 6 within drivable range in a half hour.

no that test center’s the only one that’s within reasonable driving range. others would require serious long-distance travel.

If you’re taking the reasoning test there’s a really good chance they’ll have extras. Some schools you can reserve a standby SAT booklet. Just go to the school or call to see if you can do that. Make sure you also check the week before the test to make sure the school had enough extra booklets mailed in. And even if it’s the day before the test and you never registered you can show up at the test center early to see if there’s any extras. There’s always extras. It’s first come first serve for standbys though.

Of course different test centers will do this differently.

I took the SAT II as a standby in my school last June and it was already full when I tried to register online. The school had 3 extra booklets.

you can try to get into your testing center through standby. Just go really early and fill out all your papers and information and have everything ready and see if you can get in
