How should I prepare for the vocabulary for the SAT? I am officially taking it March next year, so I have time to prepare. Do you guys suggest that I buy one of these vocab books and start memorizing the words? If so, which one should I get??

The Direct Hits are often considered the best to study. I just recently bought them (an hour ago) and I plan to memorize all of the words for the November SAT. Other books include the Barron’s, Sparknotes, etc.

Should I just stick with one type of book (Direct Hits), or should I also get the PR and Kaplan books?

manily words will repeat, and just a few will be different
direct Hit is da best, after tht PR

it mainly depends on u if u can cope up with two

( i think i will not be able to remember a single word on SAT day )

Both volumes of Direct Hits will be enough

How are the Vocab. Words in freevocabulary.com?

Does the old version of direct hits have any words that the 2010 edition doesn’t? I’m going to buy direct hits, but I want to be sure that I don’t need the older version too.

I’m kinda in the same boat as blake93, so a response would be nice…

The 2010 edition is definitely the one to get. It contains new words and a number of valuable vocabulary tips.

So the 2010 book covers the old version + new ones?

^Yes, that is correct.
