Thanks!

Me too. I am reviewing some SAT Vocab Cards from Princeton Review. Try them.

Thanks! From what I’ve heard, apparently vocab lists online are not very helpful. Is that true?

For the short term, vocab lists are really your only option. But a lot of words end up getting repeated, so when you take practice tests be sure to look up every word you don’t know! (two words that I remember having seen a lot are platitude and hubris)

Do not really learn those lengthy vocab lists. It’s not effective.
Try to learn all those words you do not know from Practice tests.

Only lazy people say vocab is ineffective. Learning those vocab hit-list is indispensable in achieving a higher score.

Flash cards or different vocab prep books like Direct Hits
I think there are some online quizzes as well so try taking those after you’ve learned some vocab. It helps maintain your memory of the words.

If you have an Apple device, get the Knowji app. It’s a little pricey ($9.99), but it teaches you 1600 words. I’ve already learned 400 in the past month… And I’ve seen a lot of the words show up in practice tests! I really think it’s the best way to learn SAT vocab. Get it!!!

These vocab words are a real set. Not online. Anyway, at least from what I remember I have seen many of these words (Princeton Review set) on the PSATs I have taken and on SAT Practice questions. If vocabulary is your weak point they may be useful since it will prevent mistakes on the sentence completion portion that happen just because you did not know some words.

Only the inexperienced and clueless repeat the same non-sense about word lists. Not only are such lists NOT indispensable, they represent a false friend and a huge time sink.

If you knew the first thing about the SAT, you might avoid sounding like a twit.

Rude much??

The essential 300 words are available online. You can find it with a google search of its PDF.
