SAT vs. ACT

Long time lurker, nearly first time poster. Quick question regarding how colleges handle your SATs vs ACTs.

Being a procrastinator, I neglected to choose colleges to send my ACT scores too. I did, however, choose colleges for my SAT R and SAT Ss. I received a 2080 on the cursed SAT I took, which landed in the mail of Stanford, MIT, UC Davis, and Colorado School of Mines.

I received a "better" score on the ACT, a 34, and I haven't sent it anywhere.

When I do, do the colleges just hold both the scores until the admissions process? Do they prioritize which one came first, or which one was better? How is it handled? Does sending along the mediocre SAT worsen chances?

TLDR: What do colleges do with SAT and ACT scores (one being significantly better over the other) that they receive at different times?

They’ll most likely just pay attention to the 34 because it’s significantly higher

Hopefully that’s the case, thanks for the reassurance.

Also, is there a specific point to sending in your scores early, as opposed to waiting for when you apply? Does it matter?
