SAT World History-International-June 2013

For Daoism I put another one. “Treat others as you want to be treated” or whatever is Confucianism. (Although it could be Daoism too? I thought Daoism was more nature-influenced).

Edit: The one I put was something like “To do nothing is do everything”.

Why were ancient people interested in math? I mean why would you be when not forced?

Look:
[Don’t do to others what you would not want others to do to you](<a href=“Answers - The Most Trusted Place for Answering Life's Questions”>Don't do to others what you would not want others to do to you? - Answers)

@politicalprotege Remind what C was again?

@kiwieagle

I believe those are all correct, but I need some backup, one cannot trust my words when it comes to history.

By the way, I think it is spelled “Harappa”…Like the “Harappan civilization”…no?

english is not my first language btw

@DAIMYO I remember that’s what I put. It had to do with wu wei and doing less is more or something

@damaan for math I put that the calendar and measurements choice

doing less is more seems to be the better choice, since the golden rule is “confucian” in connotation.
looking at it, both could be right, but doing less is more seems to be more in line with the daoist idea of harmony.

@politicalprotege I thought of it that way too

Another one I remember putting is of the guy complaining about being attacked by rebel hideouts.
Not sure if it was Native Americans or Runaway Slaves?
Also I am pretty sure that the africans in India is due to slaves.
Also the coastal east african cities were all muslim cities that depended on trade.
Also what were noble savages? I remember putting Tatars.
(Ignore my constant use of also)

To the people saying treat others the way you want to be treated is confucianism:
No. Confucianism was heavily male oriented. They were never egalitarian.

I think there was a mention of the code of hammurabi. Don’t remember the answers.

native americans is the better choice “preserved/defended” is what makes it so.
Noble savages I think was tahiti men, I got that wrong.

I put runaway slaves.
Africans in India I put Swahili coast.
Yes, muslim cities dependent on transregional trade.

For the rebels I put runaway slaves

Noble savages: not sure! I put something else though, i just forgot

Noble savages were most likely native Americans according to wiki. I put Brahman Indians lol.

Oh right!
Code of Hammurabi and Hebrew Law put in place laws that would stop people from abusing them.

kiwieagle: yep, I got that.
I’m still pretty sure the rebels are the natives because brazil didn’t really have any major slave revolts in the 17th century, and it talked about preserving and defending the land so it had to be the natives.
what about marco polo, for that question I put that mongols made it safe, and wikipedia kinda confirmed that.

I put europeans were interested in african commidities, and due to competition in venice.
