<p>I have the following questions for SAT writing. They are from the Blue Book. Choice A is the answer I picked. Choice B is college board's answer. Could anyone help me differentiate why choice "B" is right? </p>

<p>1) Just as Ireland has produced many famous writers and the Netherlands an abundance of famous painters, (so Finland has provided a large number of famous architects).
a) Me: And like them Finland has provided a large number of famous architects.
b) CB: so Finland has provided a large number of famous achitects.</p>

<p>2) Readers of the novice writer’s recent book have said that it is at once frustrating because of its chaotic structure (but its originality is still a delight).

<p>Well I'm a big believer in "pick the one that 'sounds' right." But I guess if you don't know how sentences are supposed to sound, then that's a problem.</p>

<p>So the only one I can actually help you with is #2</p>

a) Me: but its originality is still a delight
b) CB: and delightful because of its originality*</p>

<p>Notice the parallelism: "(adjective) because of its (reason for being x-adjective)"</p>
