My favorite activity at this camp is (you get to swim)
a. you get to swim
b. getting to go swimming
c. the swimming
d. to swim so much
e. the swimming you get to do

the answer is c... but I don't see why..?
thx to anyone who's replying :)

Because you need a noun to express your activity - the swimming works best

but wouldn’t it just be swimming not “the swimming”?
thx for replying by the way

No. It won’t be. Swimming is a verb; you need a noun (the swimming) for that sentence.

While you are at it – here are why the ones are wrong:

A. Change in possessive pronoun – ‘my’ -> ‘your’
B. Not only is it too wordy, but it’s also not a noun.
C. The noun you are looking for. (The answer)
D. Just doesn’t make sense; you’d use it in a sentence, “I love to swim so much.” Not when saying what your favorite thing is.
E. Again, change in possessive pronoun.

thanku Monoclide and CR7_ManUtd!!
