So I have a big xc race this Saturday that I got to run at but its also the last date I have to take my SAT2 math test. As an Asian, I have a 730 which is pretty lackluster. I was wondering If I could leave the test early so I could make it to my race. The race start time is 10 and its an hour away from the test center so does any1 got any recommendations?
I think you’re better off skipping the test than rushing through it.
Actually, the OP only has two options - skipping the test or sitting through it. Once started, you cannot leave early.
Not even like 10 mins?
I don’t think you can leave early. There is proctor who willl follow their procedures. There is typically no mechanism for an early departure.
So much will depend on when you start. The time varied a lot between my three kids. My son missed a socecer game as the whole test ran late due to late start. I waited in parking lot for 45 minutes over the scheduled end time.
Nope. Everyone is dismissed at the same time. Can you imagine how distracting it would be for kids in the room to have others getting up?
No. Not even like 30 seconds. Everyone is dismissed at once.
Ditto on variable start times. My son was telling me the start of the 10/6 exam at his test center was delayed because a lot of kids came over from another center that had closed and they didn’t have their very latest ticket . . . the test administrators had to call College Board to get it all straightened out. He’s taken two different sittings at the same center this year (a well-known public high school in our area that’s been a test center for years with nary a problem in the past) and BOTH starts were delayed due to unique circumstances. It happens. I, too, waited in the parking lot for nearly an hour (on the first one) and almost a half hour on the second :-?? Unfortunately, you can’t exactly text your kid to find out what’s up.
