SAT2 World History?

<p>So im taking SAT2 World History test in like two weeks or one and a half, but im trying to gauge by level preparedness.</p>

<p>I took apwh this past semester and took the Ap test. Found ap test very easy and confident that i got a 5. I read the barrons APWH book several times and know basically everything in there.</p>

<p>So i thought the SAT2 version would be pretty easy after, especially since its all multiple choice and stuff, but i picked up a Barrons sat2 wh book and going through it, it seems like there is a lot of weird details in the book and names and things that seem odd to know.</p>

<p>so my question is... Is the Barrons SAT2 WH prep book + previously taking APWH and going through that barrons enough to get an 800 or close to that? And is all the stuff in Barrons stuff that is on the SAT2 test that i need to know? Is there some sort of curriculum or something for the SAT? </p>

<p>also, Is the test overall pretty easy? compared to the Ap test and stuff. How much prep is actually required after taking WHAP?</p>

<p>It has a very nice curve.
In comparison to the AP Exam, harder MC but no essays though.</p>

<p>The BArrons SAT subject test book is freakin hard! this is not just me; im an A+ student, but everyone thinks so as well. i took a practice sat subject test WH in barrons and got like a 550, but in KAplan like a 700. So, i would not recomend BArrons-i have both books- noone wants to spend tons of extra time memorizing material they wont need to know. Its better (yes, even safer) to go w/ Kaplan. Try getting all the key info first, that will guarantee you above a 700/750, and then try to focus on getting super, with that extra time you wont have. </p>

<p>I got 720ish on Barrons and 800 on both CB tests, as well as the real thing. I recommend you add 100 points to the Barrons test.</p>

<p>thanks guys, but really im trying to compare the AP test to the SAt2 wh test. How prepared for the SAT2 does the AP test make you? And what should i be studying? Just go through barrons SAT2 book?</p>

<p>AP test MC is easier than SAT2 MC, but luckily there are no essays.
Going through Barron’s should be fine. You can probably get an 800 just doing that.</p>

<p>ok guys, one more question: Is there any sort of released material or legit practice exams for the SAT2, cause for AP i looked through released exams and the APcentral stuff, but what is there for SAT2, besides those 10 joke problems when you sign up?</p>

<p>D got a 780 on Kaplan’s diagnostic test In World History. How realistic is that based on the actual difficulty of the SAT2?</p>

<p>ok so D just took the SAT2 from the College Board’s book–the “real” SAT2.</p>

<p>She scored slightly lower than on Kaplan: 740 vs. 780. However, she said for the first half of this test that she had forgotten to leave things blank, so possibly that may have effected her score somewhat.</p>

<p>You can look at The Official Study Guide for all SAT Subject Tests from College Board. It includes one test from World History (actual previously-administered test, June 2005). There’s also a The Official SAT Subject Tests in U.S. and World History Study Guide that includes 2 tests for World History, but one is a repeat from the book with all of the subject tests.</p>

<p>I’m worried about this test. I just took the first model test in the Barrons book and got 29 wrong.</p>
