Hi folks,
I have a qustion related to my SAT II world history preparation. I've already purchased Kaplan 2005-2006 and Barron's textbooks, but considering the fact that I'm an international student what other preparation should I get. I mean are there any special books or something else that i must read in order to get 750+.

No, actually I haven't...just the stuff we learning at school. The point is can I prepare myself properly for the test just with the books (kaplan, barrons) etc ???

of course you can. a friend of mine took that SAT 2 in 10th grade before the AP class, and got around a 780. I'm taking it this coming fall without having taken the course, and i expect to do fine, if not a 780. use the barrons to study, but remember not to despair over the practice test scores since they will be much harder than the actual test.

Read the Barrons SAT II: World History book. You don't need anything else. If you read the book cover to cover, you'll get over 700+ on the test. Don't read too much on the practice test. They will not appear on the test.

I had worked on the practice exams alone and got a 660. Had I read the Barrons cover to cover carefully, my scores would have been over 700+. Take it from me: Barrons is better!

I used the Kaplan 2005~2006 edition of the SAT II World History test for review during the last 2 weeks and got an 800. I took the AP class though, but I don't think the actual class helped. I haven't used Barrons SAT II: World History book but did use the Barrons AP World History book which I thought it helped me a lot on the AP exam.
