what u guys put for the one with
which of these would give a pH of less than 6 when 10 ml of 0.001 M NaOH is reacted with it

and also is 2 blanks and 4 wrongs still 800?

Uhhh I put .1M H2SO3. But I can't be sure.

Math_guju, I believe so.

i got around 4 T T CE
including 3 in a row at the around the start...

a few F F..

if u can recite the Cause-Effect Questions, that would be cool...

i got only 2 T T CE and the copper dissolving in hot water because copper is one of the highly reactive metals was the confusing one

pH would be less than 6 pH for the 0.01 pH HCl i think..

but H2SO4 is diprotic, Variance

Then when would it equal 7 pH when .001M of NaOH is mixed?? :O Because shouldn't equal amounts of NaOH and HCl just cancel out and come out as pH 7?

yeah thass true

NaOH + HCl ---> H2O + NaCl
when they are both equal concentration and equal volume with give a pH of 7.

and Ammonium Chloride is Neutral by itself

Klogon
I got 1.0 M HCl too.

i had no clue about the crucible one...
i put "the copper rod disappered"...i think
i can't really recall the problem because i took it first(3tests today)

yes.. but a higher concentration of HCl than NaOH will still make it highly acidic

i put H2SO4 b/c it was same concentration as NaOH and it was diprotic

sl1201, you are wrong...
thats a possibility of the lab...
i put "change of electrons".. that cannot be observed.. it requires other experimental procedures... that are usually quantitiative

i put copper rod disappeared, b/c others seemed to be right

I don't believe any of the optoins given had a higher Molarity than the OH given. I think it was 10mL .1M OH and you had to say which one would make the solution have a pH < 6. The highest concentration of HCl was 10ML of.1M wasn't it? Blah

i remember putting H2SO4 for one of them...
but if the amount of acid is larger than the amount of base.. (in moles), it will be acidic.. no matter wat acid it is.. sulfuric, or hydrochloric

all of them were 10mL so volume is insignificant...

i was kinda surprised to see hardly any redox equations

1/9 was the Keq one right?

And if you had more H2, will the amount of H20 increase?? I put the curved positive slope for that i think...i dunno
