OFFICIAL Oct. 8, 2005 SAT II: Chemistry Forum

This is the OFFICIAL SAT II: Chemistry forum. As per College Confidential rule, there will be absolutely NO DISCUSSION about test questions and answers until 10:00am.

Good luck!

Official Discussion WILL START AT 12:00pm EST/9:00 PST.

How did everyone think it went?

i skipped 20. i hate chemistry

much harder than I expected. Cancelling score. Guess Ill be retaking in nov...

tough. true-falses are probably going to eat me alive, i should have omitted more.

That test was impossible. Also omitted about 20.

So, now that it's approximately 12:01 PM we can start discussing questions right?

uhhhhhh maybe we'll get a nice curve?

haha, i wish

okay lets start gathering up the answers. Anyone remember any of them?

omg it was sooo hard!

did anyone put paper chromotography for ink??

what'd you guys put for the last question, the electrochem. one (#70)? i was confused, was it sulfur 2- or zinc 2+?

i skiped that one, but i think i would hv put Zn 2+

also the greenhouse one was infrared radiation.

what was the answer to that separation of ink q?

i put paper chromotogrpahy

yea, i got that also, yes i got 1

alright yeah i eventually decided on zinc.
and i also put paper chrom as well

hmm...i remember 4 moles of something as an answer?

there was a true-false question regarding sodium, it was on the second page near the middle. does anyone know if they put T, T, CE for that?

i put dissolve it in water and use paper chromotography

i did, i think it was like NaCl has a higher boiling point than water?? because .... i dunno

I put NACL because of the colligative properties thingy. The boiliing point will be higher for the NaCl
