Satisfy breadth requirements at CCC

I want to satisfy a few of the breadth requirements at a community college this summer. I've looked on ASSIST.org to see what will fulfill each requirement, I've heard that this is unreliable.
Should I talk to the L&S advising people in Evans? Or is there someone else I should talk to?

There are some weird rules about using CCC courses to satisfy certain breadth and/or major prerequisite requirements if you are a current UC student (I think it’s mostly for major prerequisite requirements, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there are some weird rules for breadth requirements too). You should check Assist.org AND talk to your advisor … and then make the best educated guess based on the multiple sources of information. It’s not uncommon to get bad information … so do the best you can.

Just to be safe, I would talk to an advisor in Evans. Bring information about the courses you want to take (title, description, hours/week, syllabus if you have one, etc.) so that they can help you better. They might ask you if it’s on Assist.org or not, so be sure to be prepared with that information too. I find that in dealing with college advisors, the more information you have ready and available to present to them, the more useful they are in helping you.

I think breadth requirements are a lot more lax - I took two courses in community college during high school just for fun, and didn’t realize that they had satisfied two breadth requirements until I looked on DARS.
