Is it okay if you took the SAT in Jan, got sick, scerwed it up, and decided not to send it in to colleges?

Colleges will see all of your test scores when collegeboard sends them an official score report.

no, it is not.
What do you think???

Wha?? Is that sarcasm or what? also, they already have my official score report from December and back, so now what?

My D took the SAT in January right after a four day trip to camp with lots of socializing and not enough sleep. The girl nest to her threw up twice during the writing section. Needless to say D did not improve her scores. Unfortunately she had already signed up to have the scores sent to her colleges. The whole thing reminded me of the ad where the parents are trying to sabotage their son the night before the SAT so they won't have to pay for college.
The point of this long winded anecdote is that you could not send the January grades if you had already sent the earlier scores and had not already signed up to send the January scores.

like fuzzylogic said, all your schools will see all your scores no matter what.

I don't get it. I only sent my scores off in December. on the Jan, i chose not to send my scores to any where... how does everyone see it?

they dont see it if you didnt sign up to send it... just chill and act liek u never took em. =)

I agree. They will not be looking for the scores from Jan.

it's common sense...They won't know anything about your Jan score if you didn't send them. So it's okay.

okay as long as it's okay... i don't wanna be academically dishonest

I don't think you're being dishonest. The colleges are aware that people have bad days. I wish that my daughter hadn't already requested the scores to be sent as she went down in each category. The girl sitting next to her who threw up probably went down even further.

It doesn't matter, colleges only look at highest sitting anyways,

They'll only see Dec scores if you sent everyone that needed scores scores already. It's not lying not to send the scores. Most colleges only look at the highest scores, some don't.

okay. sounds good. thanks for your help!

its completely fine if you dont send your Jan score ... as long as you already sent ur score before jan. i was going to do the same thing lol... i sent my score before taking my Dec SAT but it turns out i did a lot better on my Dec SAT so i had to spend extra money to resend my score :)

but if you guys didn't notice, collegeboard sends the score to your school you register under and the school is who provides your transcript to schools you apply to and all SAT score are gonna be on it... but if you don't feel good/ sick/ throw up or anything like that im sure you can cancel your score right after you take the test so it won't be graded...
