Hi, I am a highschool student who just received my October SAT’s ,2018. I need to know the scale because something seems wrong. I missed 3 reading, 2 writing, and 1 math and only got a 1510. On the march SAT of 2018 i got 1500 with 14 incorrect reading, 1 incorrect writing, and 1 incorrect math. On the December SAT of 2017 I got 1500 with a 10 incorrect reading, 3 incorrect writing and 3 incorrect math. I just don’t understand how my October score can be so low. I am aware that the scale varies from test to test but i just don’t understand how the change in scale could be so drastic. I missed 40 points for getting 2 wrong on the writing section. 40 points for missing 3 wrong on the reading. I really need information and Help. Thank You!
There is a very busy reddit forum for SAT discussion. Some students there have compiled the scale. If you look around there, you will find ample discussion of the “curve” with details. It was on the harsher side. My understanding is that if you purchased the QAS (on the score verification page of the website), eventually the College Board will mail you a test booklet and answer key with the full scoring scale.
What were your individual scores in Math and English?
I feel you, I got 3 R 3W and 3 M and I ended up with a 1450, the curve was one of the worst people have ever seen
And we all thought June 2018 was bad!
It was a tough curve! My daughter had -0R and -1W and got a 790 for English. -1M was a 780 for Math. so 1570 for 2 wrong overall.

@DavidYW you are a 1500 - 1510 SAT tester. I’m sure your superscore is even higher. Now that you have taken three SAT’s, you might want to move on and focus on other aspects of your application.
@DavidYW . Let me make you feel better. My D took firdt her SAT also. She was getting consistenly 1530 in her all practice tests she took. She took 15 practice tests not counting 1500 practice questions over 5 months… her SAt score 1130… we are still in deep shock.
