Hey guys, who is taking the test tomorrow? What is ur goal? Tomorrow will be my second time and I am aiming for a 2100+. Really nervous haha!

Same goal. Would be happy with anything +2100, but I’m hoping for +2200.

Second time tomorrow too! Aiming for 2000+!!
I’m scared and nervous. I know I did it before but what if I can’t do it again? What if I disappoint myself and score lower than my first time?

Ahhhhhhh! I didn’t really study much for this time either. My mind is in vacation mode already. :o

haha, it is really hard to stay focused during the summer. I have really worked hard and am hoping that it pays off. I really bombed my first one(1980 =/) and need this one in order to get into some good schools. But if it doesnt work out, I still have october to retake it and I got the ACT =)

If it’s easier to get a higher score on the ACT than on the SAT, I might actually consider it.

Got a 1950 on the December test; looking to get 2000+ on tomorrow’s test (I got a 2140 on the most recent practice test I did this week but I’m not convinced).

:-/

@4khaos I personally think that the ACT is by far easier. The only thing i don’t like about the ACT compared to the SAT is the time limit for the reading and science sections.

Gahhhh i am so nervous for tomorrow. I hope this SAT will be a lucky one with reading passages i can really get into (: Aiming for a 2100+!

My goal is 2400. Unless i make a stupid mistake, i should get 800 on math and reading. Writing i just have to pray that its an essay i have examples for, and hope that the ‘Finding the error’ section doesn’t have a sneaky one i miss.

But really ill be happy with anything 2300+

■■■■■ expecting a 2050 at least, assuming a 2080, bet someone ten bucks I would get a 2100+. so that’s my motivation haha. I strongly desire a 2100

@ 4khaos

I think the general sentiment is that the ACT is easier but has stricter time constraints (the Science section is a bit of a curveball too, but it’s do-able). My ACT score (30) was better than my SAT score (1950) - I think a 30 was 96th percentile when I took it.

I guess I might take a practice ACT exam and see how I do then. It just seems like a “waste” after all the prep for SAT if I do better on the ACT, though.

Nope, not at all. What is parrellism for sentences? Anyone know? Cause I get those wrong mostly on the section.

My ACT scores and SAT scores are almost the same haha. I do better on the writing section on the SAT and better on the reading on the ACT lol. The one thing I dont like is the science section… I practiced a ton and would get 33-34, but only got a 27 on the real one =/.
Anyone else taking the ACT next Saturday? Hoping for a 32!

parallelism- when u use the same structure throughout the sentence. I.e. I want TO run and walk tomorrow is correct. Kind of hard to explain

lol, A lot better than I did on Science. I got a 24 (yeah I know, pretty bad lol). If I got even a few more points on that section I would’ve had a higher composite - so I’m definitely studying hard for that next week (I’m taking it next Saturday too).

Good luck! and, also, if I had gotten one point higher on any of the sections I would have gotten a 31 =/ haha

I’m aiming for any sort of improvement next week lol. I’d be happy with a 31. Good luck to you too!
