I've studied on and off for about a month and then the last two weeks I devoted my time entirely to the ACT (no friends, no cars, no girls :( ) Despite that, I still don't feel ready lol. I'm going to be SOOO relieved after tomorrow. Anyways, best of luck everyone...make the final hours count!

I'm hoping I do well. I'm aiming for a 30...

I'm aiming for a 31. It all depends if I can get at least a 28 on english.

I'm aiming for 32-34 because I got a 31 last time. I haven't prepared too much because I've already finished like 5-6 practice tests (before I got the 31) and I'm running out of stuff to study. :( I'm just trying to read about technique and how to finish stuff on time. I've taken an ACT/SAT math course so I'm hoping that helps with the math, and I'm counting on science and reading passages that aren't ridiculously confusing.

Reading is what's gonna own me =(

I'm just relaxing now, theres not much else to be done.

OMG! Im just gonna do 1 practice test.. and whatever I get is whatever I get!!!!!

Im so mad about Reading and Science.

im just relaxing because i feel confident that i can get above a 32. i have studied hard for the past 2 months and any studying now will be utterly useless. good luck to everyone !!

I don't know if I'm ready or not. I mean, I've been studying for only a week, and my initial plan was to take it now and then take it again in September after more studying, but on the practice tests I've gotten a 31 and 32. So, I really don't know what to expect. And I'm definitely not as stressed for this test as I was for the SAT.

the practice tests are much easier than the real ACT.

Last ACT in April was so hard, I am praying for an easier one this time.

After tomorrow I can stop studying and actually have FUN during summer!!

nbgdog, you can't make that generalization. The practice tests in the real book are released tests that were once administered and the same goes for the free practice test you can get online.

Actually my daughter also thinks the more recent ACTs are much harder than the retired ones in the real ACT book and the one online. She 1st took it the beginning of sophomore year and thinks it has become much harder the last couple of years. Her last time tomorrow - has just graduated HS but is having one last try for a 34 to qualify for a particular scholarship. Here's hoping tomorrows subsections all line up to where she can repeat the highest score she has received in each subsection - but on different dates!! Good luck to all of you.

I took 2 practices, got the same on both:

31 English (damn it, I always make mistakes and go too fast.)
33 Math (go too fast here too...)
36 Reading
36 Science

34 overall

I Need A 33.

fhqwgads2005 how did you get a 36 in science??? i am doing worse and worse and running out of time...by the last 2 passages i'm basically blindly guessing. help me!

If I get in by 8 AM, approx. how long will the test last? Like when will I get out? Need to know for my ride

You should get there at 7:30, preferably. Test BEGINS AT 8 SHARP. It will be about 4 hrs with writing, so you'll be done by 12 noon.

Hm, well I got out of school last Thursday, and I planned to study for the week leading up to the ACT tomorrow, but I just crammed it all into this Wed, Thurs, Fri, taking a practice test each night.

I got a 29, 31, and then 32 on those 3 practice tests in the prep guide, but for some reason I think they're easier than the real thing. Like, science especially because it seems they require outside knowledge now (however rudimentary...woo SAT word!), and I always do my worst on science.
