Hi, I got a 2340 on my SATs and I really want to apply to Harvard or Yale...I know this sounds kind of ridiculous, but I got a 780 in math, 760 in CR, and 800 in writing, and when I took it again my scores didn't go up in June. Should I consider taking it again? Will it help me?

Don't retake it. Even if you retake it, the improvement to your application is at best minimal. Concentrate on adding/improving in some ECs, and focus on what you want to talk about in your essays. Know yourself, and show yourself to be as individualistic and special as possible (being truthful of course)

Any score 2300+ looks the same in the adcoms eyes.

^^^ among the biggest untruths of the century

statements akin to that are "any GPA above 3.75 is the same to adcoms" and "any volunteer hours above 200 hours is the same to adcoms".

2400 is definitely better than a 2340, without a doubt. use your common sense

but as to your question of if you should retake, i say no. your scores are pretty much evenly distributed across the three sections. so unless you wish to devote 30 hours or more this summer studying for the SAT, i doubt it'll go up
