Saxon Suite at University of California-LA

I was just assigned to Saxon Suite at UCLA as a freshman. I was little disappointed because I wanted the social aspect of the halls, but I think the Suite will be nice with studying. Should I be happy with the suite or should I request to be moved? Thanks for your help!

I’m in Saxon right now but started off in Hedrick, and I can definitely say that Saxon is a lot quieter. The setup is more like a motel where everyone’s room has access to outside (meaning don’t leave your door open: bugs and squirrels get in and people will jack your stuff), and unless you seriously go knock door to door you aren’t gonna know the people on your floor or in your building that well. I think I’ve met my RA twice this year. Personally I like it quiet to study/hang out so I don’t mind it, but if you want a more social atmosphere I’d definitely switch out. There aren’t very many freshman in the suites and we never do any social bonding like the halls/plazas tend to do.

I was assigned as saxon suite too. =l
